Back in early June, it was announced that Mary Steenburgen would make an appearance on the enormously successful Netflix series, Orange Is The New Black‘s third season. According to sources close to TVLine the actress will play the mother of everyone’s least favorite prison guard George “Pornstache” Mendez. (Pablo Schreiber)
Earlier in the month Steenburgen tweeted her eagerness for filming the prison comedy/drama series saying; “Very excited to go to my first wardrobe fitting of OITNB! Will I be in orange or black?:)”
It is currently unknown how many episodes she will appear in but given how things went for Mendez in the second season, it should be an interesting story to watch unfold. Maybe now we will see where he gets some of his crazy behavior from?
