Well, Gilmore Girls fans, the first of Rory's former flames has officially signed on for the upcoming Netflix revival! Matt Czuchry will be returning to his role as Logan Huntzberger, Rory's college sweetheart. Czuchry appeared on the show for seasons 5-7, wrapping up his journey when Rory turned down his marriage proposal before he moved to California. It's unclear at this point exactly when in the new series Logan will appear.
So far, Czuchry is the only one of Rory's exes to be confirmed as coming back. In an interview with TVLine, series creator and producer Amy Sherman-Palladino said of Rory's men, "Our plan is to get as many of [Rory’s] lovely men back as possible. We’re still dealing with who’s going to be in it. We definitely want to see them. And we have storylines planned. I just need someone to tell me they’re going to show up." She continued to say that when we pick up with Rory, she's "dating like any young woman with that face would be."
Also confirmed for the revival so far are Alexis Bledel, Lauren Graham, Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Keiko Agena, Sean Gunn and Yanic Truesdale.
Czuchry appeared in the Gilmore Girls ATX reunion panel last summer along with most of the cast and spoke fondly of his time on the show during a reddit AMA saying, "Even at the wrap party, there were talks that the show was gonna come back, and that I would have come back to have been a part of that. But nothing was ever set in stone."
It will be truly fantastic to see Czuchry back in Stars Hollow! Now we just have to wait and see if Jared Padalecki and Milo Ventimiglia will return. Then we can sit back and watch while those debates of "Logan, Dean or Jess" kick up again! For now, you can catch Czuchry in the CBS series The Good Wife.
