If you've ever craved McDonald's pancakes and sausage at 7:00 PM, apparently you're not alone. The fast food corporation has responded to the popularity of items such as hash browns and Egg McMuffins with plans to test an all day breakfast menu. The company will run the test in select locations in San Diego next month.
In the past, McDonald's has cited limited grill space as a stumbling block to an all-day breakfast service. Breakfast usually cuts off between 10:30AM - 11:00 AM depending on the location. Now it seems the company's recent emphasis on items such as coffee and freshly cracked eggs may mean that breakfast won't just be for early risers anymore.
The all-day availability of breakfast items could be a fresh move to help boost declining sales for the franchise.
McDonald's spokesperson Terri Hickey clarified that it was "premature to speculate on any outcomes", so only time will tell if the all-day breakfast plan will sell like hotcakes.
If your local McDonald's had an all-day breakfast, would you be "lovin' it"? Let us know in the comments!
