McDonald’s Will Allow Customers To Create Their Own Burgers

McDonald’s is trying out something new, by allowing customers to build their own burgers and create their taste, with a more customisable menu.

McDonald’s have been facing some serious financial issues lately. With sales reaching the new lows of half what theyw here expected to be, the fast food chain is looking to turn things around and has been eyeing a customizable policy to do so.

There is no denying that the competition is strong when it comes to the fast food market. Despite McDonald’s being a veteran chain in the industry, monthly sales in America have dropped by 4.6%, when only a 1.9% was expected. On a global scale, sales have also dropped by 2.2%. Therefore, it’s only normal that the company is looking to make its menus simpler and let customers have the choice, since it seems to be what they’re asking for these days.

Apart from the burger-building option – which now includes chicken for the very first time, McDonald’s will also be giving you the opportunity to Create Your Taste. This will give customers the chance to choose everything that goes in their meal, from the meat and the bread, to the cheese, the sauces and the toppings. However, a combination of your own burger with fries and medium soda would end up being quite more expensive than a regular meal – $8+, instead of $5.

Create Your Taste is currently running in four stores in Southern California and being tested in several others throughout Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. With both the crew and the crowd reacting positively to the programme, McDonald’s is looking to expand it in 2,000 places by this time next year.
