Melissa Joan Hart, star of Clarissa Explains It All & Sabrina The Teenage Witch, has admitted that she did her fair share of drug experimentation back in the day.

Hart, who is now 37 years old, reveals some of the shocking details in her new book, Melissa Explains It All. All of which is also being serialized in Life & Style magazine.

Hart confessed: “I experimented with weed, Ecstasy, mushrooms, and mescaline for about a year and half.” She also talked about a time at the Playboy Mansion, back in 1999, where she was high on Ecstasy, ended up kissing a girl in her limo ride going home, only to arrive at a photo shoot the next day still high. She admits that that incident “was my third or fourth time on Ecstasy.” Luckily Hart her experimentation never led to addiction. “I just didn’t enjoy taking drugs. I don’t like the loss of control.”

Melissa Joan Hart is currently the star of Melissa & Joey on ABC Family, which was renewed for a fourth season. Hart also stated earlier this year that she was somewhat hesitant about the idea of a Sabrina The Teenage Witch reunion.
