5 years have passed since the King of Pop's unfortunate passing and his music is still gracing the airwaves in ways as new and innovative as they were when he was alive. You can add this one to the list of Michael Jackson's accolades: when his next music video premieres on Twitter, it'll be the first music video ever to do so!
You've seen plenty of videos on Twitter in the past- this is true -but "A Place With No Name" by Michael Jackson will be the first music video to ever drop exclusively on the service for its worldwide unveiling. The video will also be streamed simultaneously on the Sony screen in Times Square, New York as it is released for the world to see via the aforementioned popular social media service at 10pm this Wednesday (August 13).
"A Place With No Name" is a re-imagining of America's 1972 hit, "A Horse With No Name", which Michael had originally recorded with Dr. Freeze back in 1998. Now it has new life breathed into it as a track on the singer's latest album, Xscape, acting as the follow-up to Jackson and Justin Timberlake's hit first single "Love Never Felt So Good". There's a distinct "Leave Me Alone" flavor to the track- only smoother -that should leave fans of Michael's late 80s/early 90s days sonically satisfied.
You can give "A Place With No Name" a listen below and let us know if you're excited for the upcoming premiere!
