Two Academy Award-nominees are set to tread the boards of Studio 8H this April when they host Saturday Night Live, and yours truly couldn't be more excited!
Cinema icon and comedic genius Michael Keaton is going through a huge career revival after starring in the brilliant Birdman, which won Best Picture at the Academy Awards, with Keaton being nominated for Best Actor, and winning the Golden Globe for his tour-de-force performance. He will host the show on April 4th with musical guest Carly Rae Jepsen. This will be Keaton's third time hosting SNL, with his previous appearances being in 1982 and a decade later in 1992.
Then the following week, Taraji P. Henson will be taking to the stage for the very first time. Henson is an Academy Award-nominee for her heartbreaking performance in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. However, she is currently gaining legions of fans (and very soon icon status, I'm sure) for her performance as the deliciously wicked Cookie Lyon on Empire. The musical guest for the episode will be Mumford and Sons, who will be returning for the second time
Keaton will host on April 4th, followed by Henson on the 11th of April. In the meantime, Dwayne Johnson will host this Saturday for the fourth time.
