Watch out Minecraft fans, you have a creeper behind you and it’s about to blow up! The greatest creeper ever known as Microsoft is in "serious discussions" to buy Minecraft
The move is to ensure that one of the most popular games in recent memory is available for the computing giant’s family of devices. Minecraft is not currently available
on Windows Phone, the mobile operating system that Microsoft has struggled to turn into a strong competitor to Apple’s iPhone andGoogle’s Android.
But you don’t have to worry about being stuck to the Xbox console because if the deal does go through, Minecraft
won't become an exclusive to the Microsoft owned platforms.
However, this deal is a risk on Microsoft’s part in light of the comments Minecraft
creator Markus 'Notch' Persson has said in the past. He previously urged Microsoft
to "stop trying to ruin the PC as an open platform". He went as far to suggest that Minecraft
would not be certified for the platform at all. What changed his mind?
The rumored $2 million deal makes seems fairly low for a developer with such a popular game under its belt.
