Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke are set to rock the stage at the MTV Music Awards on August 25th.
Thicke has seen his song “Blurred Lines” take the world by storm. As a result the singer is nominated for Video of the Year, Best Male Video, Best Collaboration and Best Song of the Summer.
“I am excited to be an inaugural nominee in the ‘Song of the Summer’ category and to be performing it on the VMA’s. We have some big surprises planned and I hope everyone will tune in to see it”
He also tweeted “I will be performing at this years #VMAs. Thank you for making this happen! #BlurredLines”
Cyrus is also nominated in the Song of the Summer category for her knockout hit “We Can’t Stop”. She is also nominated for Best Female Video and Best Pop Video. Cyrus will be performing the track on the night.
Also performing at the ceremony will be Katy Perry with her newest song “Roar”, Kanye West with “Black Skinhead”, and Lady Gaga with her latest “Applause”
There have also been string rumours suggesting surprise appearances by Beyonce and Daft Punk.
The MTV Music Awards air on Sunday, August 25th at 9/8c.
