Los Angeles based pop princess Millie Thrasher is ready to do things her own way. The sixteen year old musician made her debut on the third season of America’s X Factor, where she was paired with two other contestants to form the girl group Sweet Suspense. After finishing up their run on the competition, the ladies of Sweet Suspense began pursuing their dreams of stardom.
2015 saw some lineup changes to the group, and at the end of the year the ladies decided to go their separate ways to pursue solo ambitions. This has given birth to a new era of Millie Thrasher, and it’s a fantastic new beginning!
In December of last year Millie made her solo debut with a dance heavy tribute to Justin Bieber’s chart topping tropical-house “Sorry.” The aspiring hitmaker transformed the track into a duet, laying her vocals over Bieber’s to great success. Coupled with a video of intricate and high energy choreography, Millie Thrasher successfully introduced herself to the world as a solo star in the making.
Now, one mere month later, Millie is back with her second solo effort, a cover of Calvin Harris & The Disciples’ “How Deep Is Your Love,” and if it is possible things have gotten even better for the pop princess!
In her hand’s Calvin Harris’s electro-infused hit transforms into a soulful ballad. Thrasher’s vocals float across a sparse production, showcasing her impressive range and emotive capabilities. Millie’s rendition of the track exudes an intimate connection and breathes new life into the already gorgeous production.
Visually, Millie opted to keep things simple with the accompanying music video. Shot in stark black and white, Millie performs the track over a series of layered shots. The young songstress evokes the track’s emotional feeling. As the track comes to a close Millie displays some of her youthful joy and passion as she smiles at the camera and holds up the peace sign to sign off.

Between the strong vocals and striking visual it is safe to say that Millie Thrasher is ready to make a mark.
