Many of us took a walk down memory lane last week for the tenth anniversary of The O.C.
Some even hoped that maybe a reunion would be on the cards.
In an interview with US Weekly, actress and star of The O.C. Mischa Barton says that it’s not something she is looking to be a part of.
“You know, never say never” Barton told reporters. “But, I think things have to feel right and it doesn’t feel right. You can’t say that you feel one way or another about things, but before The O.C. I was on track to do some great films, as well, and one thing happens and then I got this mega stardom all from this show. It is what it is, but I’m not looking to get sucked back into the limelight of it.”
Mischa also revealed that she hasn’t kept in touch with her former co-stars “I run into people every once in a while, but I’m doing my own thing. I work a lot, so I feel like I’m never around in LA, and I know that Ben and Rachel work on shows here.”
And as for her own personal thoughts on the show’s anniversary she said “I was like, ‘I hope everyone doesn’t start watching it again!’”
Coincidentally, the show’s creator Josh Schwartz was asked by TV Guide about the possibility of a tenth Anniversary reunion or special.
He replied: “You know we wanted to do a reunion for the 10-year [anniversary], but in order to do that we wanted everybody to participate and to want to participate.”
Who knows? Maybe by the time the shows fifteenth anniversary rolls around, Miss Barton will be more inclined to revisit to her Marissa Cooper days.
