It was only yesterday that I reported on Colin Farrell and Paula Patton’s possible casting in the big screen adaptation of World of Warcraft. Well, just one day later Deadline has now revealed another set of actor’s names that are on the short list for the remaining leading roles in Warcraft.
Making the short list are Paul Dano, who can currently be seen in the box office hit Prisoners, Australian born Travis Fimmel, best known for his role on The History Channel’s Vikings, Anson Mount, star of AMC’s Hell on Wheels and Star Trek: Into Darkness’ Anton Yelchin.
No details have been released as to whether they will be playing opposite each other or are competing for the same role.
Duncan Jones (Moon) is directing with the screenplay written by Charles Leavitt (Seventh Son). Signed on as producers are Sam Raimi and Charles Roven, with Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni from Legendary, the production company attached to the film.
Warcraft is slated for production in January 2014 with an expected release in 2015
