Forbes “Most Powerful Musicians” and “Most Powerful Celebs” lists have finally been revealed, and there are no surprises regarding the personalities who have places this year. Mother Monster Lady Gaga topped this years “Most Powerful Musicians” and ranked number two on Forbes “Most Powerful Celebrities.”
Forbes places artists, actors, and other public personalities on their yearly list based on earnings, social media and press mentions over the past 12 months. As one of the most followed people on social media, Gaga has 38.5 million Twitter followers and 57.9m Facebook fans. The mother monster has grossed over $168 million.
Coming in at number two after Gaga on Forbes “Most Powerful Musician,” is Lady Bey. Beyonce grossed over $2 million for each Mrs Carter Show date, and is sponsored by large companies Pepsi and H&M. Third place goes to Madonna whose MDNA Tour grossed over $305 million, followed by Justin Bieber who snagged the sixth spot due to his touring and presence on social media. Katy Perry who earned major revenue from her fragrances, film, private concerts and sponsorship deal with PopChips. takes tenth place.
As for most powerful celebs, Oprah Winfrey has regained her title as 'Most Powerful Celebrity,' landing second on the annual Forbes list. The 59-year-old earned an estimated $77 million between June 2012 and June 2013. Again, no surprises here. Third place on the list goes to Steven Spielberg due to his film Lincoln’s massive success.
