Mote Shares New Single “Pink Flowers”

“…it’s about determination to not let life get the best of you, to stay free of the weight.”

The past few years have taught indie rock/indietronica singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mote a lot, and allowed him to reflect on what’s important to him and how he wants to live his life. His blossoming career had to be paused somewhat back in 2018 due to illness, though he did release an impressive EP the following year. Determined to start afresh and get himself back to 100%, he relocated to Berlin from Nashville, Tennessee just before the pandemic hit. His first year in the city was spent writing, while he also took it upon himself to study film and add videography to his repertoire.

As the world began to return to some semblance of normality this summer, Mote embarked on the newest leg of his journey as an artist and the next few months are looking decidedly busy, with several tracks to be shared with the world over the coming weeks. He marked the start of this new phase by the releasing the single “Bondage” last month and today he’s dropped his new song “Pink Flowers.” Mote describes the track as: “…like a funeral song for your own insecurities. It is a very personal song for me. Pink Flowers is when you care about an outcome, but you wish you could leave it behind. I think it’s about determination to not let life get the best of you, to stay free of the weight.”
