MTV Cancels 'Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous'

Bo Burnham fans we commiserate with you; MTV has cancelled Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous after one season.

After launching to 650,000 viewers at the series premiere the viewers have dwindled down to almost half. The show launched on Thursdays at 10:30, but was then was moved to 11:00. The final three episodes were moved to Saturday; practically a death sentence in TV terms.

The show is about a high school graduate, Zach Stone (Bo Burnham), who decides instead of going to college he’s going to become an overnight sensation. He hires a camera crew to track his rise to fame jumping between being a chef, recording artist or just making a sex tape.

Bo Burnham earned his fame on YouTube, in comedy clubs doing his stand up, and with parody songs on topics like math and irony. Besides being the star of the show he was also a co-creator, writer and, executive producer.

Whether the cancellation has anything to do with the new programming president Susanne Daniels or not, nothing has been confirmed.

Should Bo try another show or stick to his stand up?
