BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: MTV Star, Vincent Margera (Don Vito) In Deep Coma, Not Expected To Survive | Vincent Margera

*UPDATE*    7

:55 AM PST (10/23/2015)

Margera has awoken from his coma, but remains in very critical condition as he is in the throes of liver and kidney failure.  He is coherent, and talking with family and friends, but the dialysis is not working as well as doctors were hoping it would.  Family and friends tell PopWrapped  he is "by no means in the clear," and to "keep praying for a miracle."   MTV star, Vincent Margera, or Don Vito, as many people know him, is in critical condition, and has slipped into a deep coma, according to several sources; including talent manager, and close friend, Ben Brucato.  Margera reportedly collapsed at his home in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, and was immediately rushed to the hospital. Margera, whose nephew is Bam Margera, of Jackass and Viva La Bam fame, is fighting for his life, and not expected to recover, according to Brucato.  According to another source, who spoke exclusively to PopWrapped, “death is imminent, and recovery is a near impossibility.” Margera has been hospitalized several times, as recently as November, 2014. Earlier today, Brucato announced via his personal Facebook page, that Margera was "currently in critical condition in a coma and it doesn't look like it's going to end well." The cause of the medical emergency has not yet been released. Brucatto also had kind words for the embattled personality, who had been accused of assaulting two women at a press event in 2006. Margera received a 10-year probation sentence in 2007, which stripped him of his ability to portray his character Don Vito, in any capacity, until after his probation is terminated in 2017. Margera's family, friends and co-workers, including Brucatto, have staunchly denied those accusations. As a result of the accusations against him, MTV stripped him of nearly all credits, including all subsequent Don Vito stunts, which were removed from the theatrical and DVD release of Jackass Number Two. However, several of Margera's stunts were briefly shown in previews leading up to his arrest. Due to the allegations, he was persona non grata among the cast for a time, and he also did not appear on Bam's then upcoming show, Unholy Union.  He was, however, in attendance at Bam's wedding. Brucato went on to say,
“An unfortunate chain of events unfolded where he was accused of horrible things that I know for certain he did not do, that stripped him of not only his career, but his dignity as a person as well. Sure, he had his own demons but he put it all out there for the world to see and laugh at. He was, by absolutely no means, the monster that he was made out to be in the end.”
At this time, the full extent of Margera's condition is unknown, but our thoughts remain with him, his family and friends during this difficult and uncertain time. PopWrapped will be continuing to update this story as details emerge.
