‘Murder On The Orient Express’ First Trailer Talk

All aboard for an all-star cast remake of the classic Agatha Christie mystery, Murder on the Orient Express. Check out the first trailer here!

Well twist my moustache! The very first trailer for the upcoming enigmatic Murder on the Orient Express (2017) dropped and it looks absolutely fantastic. Directed by Kenneth Branagh (director of Cinderella (2015), Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014), and Marvel’s Thor (2011), star of Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, Valkyrie (2008), My Week With Marilyn (2011), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), and the soon to arrive Dunkirk (2017)), the film is a remake of the Sidney Lumet 1974 version, an adaptation of the classic mystery novel by Agatha Christie. If you haven’t seen that original film, you should, especially if you love a good mystery; of course, you may want to wait to see this film first so that you have absolutely no idea who actually committed the crime.

Thirteen passengers board the Orient Express and soon find themselves in the midst of a whodunnit murder situation; luckily for them however, esteemed, distinguished, and renowned Belgian detective Hercule Poirot (Branagh) is on the case.

It is a brief trailer, but it doesn’t take much to be enticing. The film has a large, incredible ensemble cast of great caliber, and the gorgeous looking cinematography of whites and greys just oozes suspense that will simultaneously haunt and excite the audience. The camera slowly pans down the train car, observing each passenger and listing their occupations. The concluding snippet of song by Imagine Dragons is admittedly a bit of a distraction for this type of film, but it doesn’t detract from our anticipation. We don’t get a lot of good mystery movies like this anymore, even if this one is a remake.

Murder on the Orient Express has an all-star cast of Kenneth Branagh, Johnny Depp (Chocolat (2000)), Penélope Cruz (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011)), Michelle Pfeiffer (Hairspray (2007)), Judi Dench (Philomena (2013)), Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man (2002)), Josh Gad (Frozen (2013), Beauty and the Beast (2017)), Daisy Ridley (Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)), Leslie Odom, Jr. (Red Tails (2012)), and Derek Jacobi (The King’s Speech (2010), Gladiator (2000)). It steams into theaters the beginning of this holiday season on November 10, 2017.

Check out the exciting, bone-chilling first trailer below!
