My Hero Academia will air its third season next month, with Funimation confirming that they will air it in Japanese and English on same-day broadcast.

The newest hit anime series My Hero Academia is back for a third season and Funimation already has you covered.

If you are an anime fan, odds are you can't get away from My Hero Academia (and you most likely don't want to) after two seasons of uncharted love from fans. The series is told from the perspective of a young aspiring hero who wants to be the best, making it a mission you know could go on for years if viewers had it their way. The second season only elevated it's success to another level so a third addition makes complete sense – now confirmed to begin airing April 7, 2018. Lucky for us, Funimation has an understanding of the desire for My Hero Academia so they will be airing it the same day as the Japanese broadcast and as a part of their SimulDub so you won't have to wait for an English version. In a press release Funimation states:

“From rankings to polls to awards, ‘My Hero Academia’ was without a doubt, universally recognized – by both fans and media alike – as the best in anime in 2017. The series truly resonates with the superhero lore and pop culture representations that North American audiences grew up with and continue to gravitate to,” said Gen Fukunaga, CEO and founder of Funimation. “We’re excited to be premiering Season 3 on April 7 and to be able to once again simultaneously stream the first six episodes of  ‘My Hero Academia’ in SimulDub on the same day and date as the Japanese broadcast.”

With the second season coming out on DVD and Blu-ray soon in addition to the upcoming third season, it's a good time to be a fan of My Hero Academia! Keep up with PopWrapped for our upcoming review of season two and the fast-approaching third season.
