The MythBusters team has taken up some heady myths in their time, but none have been more galactically important -- and timely, with The Force Awakens premiering later this year -- than the ones posed to them in an upcoming episode.  They have set out to answer some of the burning questions Star Wars fans have had over the years.

Some of the questions they try to scientifically answer are things like: Could a light saber really deflect laser blasters? Does the 'higher ground' theory against Anakin really matter? Could anyone actually dodge a blaster bolt?

The Discovery Channel show has the cooperation of LucasFilm to create this episode, but they didn't have a blank slate on what they were allowed to feature. MythBuster Adam Savage says:

They had a couple of restrictions. We weren't allowed to animate real lightsaber effects onto our lightsabers while fighting. Besides that, they wanted to make sure that we weren't going to do something too far off from what a character would do. I don't think they wanted us to twerk with a Stormtrooper or something like that.

The MythBusters guys, Savage and fellow special effects guru Jamie Hyneman, have released a few sneak peek videos for the upcoming episode.  Check a couple of them out below and let me know which Star Wars myth you most want to see busted (or not!) in the comments!
