Nashville is undergoing a massive shake up among its cast members for Season 2.
According to TVLine, Chris Carmack has been promoted to a season regular, as have Lennon Stella and Maisy Stella, the siblings who play Rayna’s daughters. While Powers Boothe and Robert Ray Coleman won’t be returning as season regulars, both actors will appear on a recurring basis, with Boothe returning in the show’s premiere on Sept. 25th.
There will also be new faces on the show, Rules of Engagement star Oliver Hudson will feature as a record executive, Aubrey Peeples will appear as a reality singing competition runner-up and Charley Rose will play Scarlett’s friend Zoey. It was also reported that Smash star Will Chase would have a recurring role in the series.
The series stars Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere and Clare Bowen, in the story about a fading country music star that comes into conflict with a rising teen star. The new season will premiere, Sept. 25th on ABC with the episode entitled “I Fall to Pieces”. The episode will be written by the show’s creator Callie Khouri and will be directed by Michael Waxman.
