Recording artist and former X Factor
New Zealand judge Natalia Kills was sacked
from her label, Cherrytree Records, months before she made her controversial remarks on the show
which led to her and her husband, Willy Moon, being removed from the show's judges' roster.
This is according to a representative from Cherrytree Records
Speculations have been rife that she was recently dropped from Cherrytree after it was noticed that her image and name were no longer listed
on its website. Natalia released her two albums, Perfectionist
, under the record label.
Kills and Moon got into hot water a few days ago for their critique of X Factor
New Zealand contestant Joe Irvine, in their capacity as judges. The video of what happened in the reality show has since gone viral, with many people on the internet accusing the duo of bullying.
Kills herself has responded
to the controversy.
"I feel like everyone needs to put the idea of it being a manufactured conspiracy theory behind them, there's really nothing to it," she said. "I love my husband with all of my heart, we'll stick together no matter what. There are many sides to this story and I am not about to get an entire industry in trouble that has been going on for years and years entertaining the masses, so thank you absolutely everyone for your support."
