Nathalie Emmanuel Welcomed At Hotel With A Game Of Thrones Orchestra

Nathalie Emmanuel, who plays Missandei in the HBO show, was welcomed at a hotel in Manila with a full Game of Thrones orchestra.

Game of Thrones star Nathalie Emmanuel recently took a trip to Manila in the Philippines to attend the Asia Pop Comic Convention. It is a pretty routine event; after all, actors who worked on the series have been invited to similar conventions in the past.

This one, however, will prove memorable: aside from being Emmanuel’s first comic convention, the actress was treated to a regal welcome befitting a Khaleesi. As she arrived at the hotel lobby of the Manila Peninsula where she was staying last Thursday, the in-house orchestra welcomed her with a rendition of Game of Thrones’ opening theme tune.

“Talk about the coolest welcome ever!!!!! Was not expecting this as I walk into the hotel,” Nathalie captioned a post on Instagram, where she uploaded a video of the orchestra serenading her.

It doesn’t stop there, though; the actress, who portrays Daenerys’ handmaiden, Missandei, in the hit fantasy series, may be a servant in the show, but she was treated like a Queen through her stay in Manila.

She was able to partake in a tour of the city’s historic center and was even provided a helicopter to bring her to the convention. She also posted a picture of this on her Instagram page, where she is seen sharing the chopper with actor Colton Haynes.

Now that’s how you receive guests! Let’s just hope that the orchestra won’t play The ‘Rains of Castamere’ next!
