Despite many rumors, nothing has been confirmed in regards to whether or not Christian Bale has been offered the lump sum of 50 million to reprise his role as Batman in the film Man Of Steel 2. Even with the bat suit still not occupied as of yet, there is one hunk that us fans need to cross off our list, Castle star Nathan Fillion.
Fillion had this to say about suiting up as Batman: “I don’t think my throat could take it.” Fillion said as a joke about whether or not he has what it takes to tackle the vocal stamina it would take to get that gravel sound Batman is known to have in his voice. Fillion added, “I’d make an excellent Bruce Wayne, but I would make a terrible Batman.”
The Castle star is very familiar with playing superheroes, as he just did the voice for Green Lantern for the straight to DVD release of Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, and Fillion has stated that he hasn’t been approached in any way, shape or form about the role. Nathan wanted to make it clear to those fans who are secretly hoping that he will become the next caped crusader by saying: “If you wanted to see a particular person as Batman, I think one of the worst thing’s you could do is shove it down someone’s throat as far as the new director of Batman or the new producer’s of Batman. Probably the worst thing you could do if there’s someone you want to be Batman is sort of a rally.”
Even if Nathan Fillion doesn’t end up becoming our new dark knight, we will still be able to catch him on our TV sets when Castle returns on September 23rd on ABC!
