Yesterday we reported that Naya Rivera had been written out of Glee's season 5 finale show following an on-set altercation with Lea Michele. Needless to say, the interwebs blew up at the THOUGHT that Naya wouldn't be part of the season finale, let alone Glee. #NoNayaNoGlee began trending worldwide leaving fans across the globe dazed, confused and upset that these "rumors" were spreading so fiercely. Unfortunately, the saga continues and it is with an extremely heavy heart that we must now confirm that Naya has officially been relieved of her duties as the beloved Santana Lopez on Glee. Sources close to Glee's production confirm to PopWrapped Co-Founder, Zachary Jaydon that Naya Rivera's run as Santana Lopez on Glee is indeed over. In a series of tweets, Jaydon has confirmed that Rivera is "not slated to be a part of Season 6 in any way," and has already been axed from the Season 5 Finale. Sources also share with Popwrapped that when it comes to the possibility that Naya could make a guest-appearance at some point during Season Six, including a possibility of appearing in the Series Finale, that we should "never say never. Stranger things have happened on the set of Glee, and who knows when or if producers/cast will decide to include Santana Lopez' character again. All we know is that, as of today, that is not in the picture." Sources have also made it clear that the decision to end Rivera's character had nothing to do with an on-set diva-off between Rivera and Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry on the show. "Lea was caught in the crossfire between showrunners, and Naya," stated the source. "None of the cast, including Lea are particularly happy about the situation, and none of the staff were calling for her termination." Thankfully, there is at least a glimmer of hope that we may in fact see Naya back on Glee before the end and it does my heart good to know Lea and Naya were not at odds during this ordeal.
