In what may yet turn out to be the shortest stay in a Big Brother house ever, US star (and I use that term very loosely indeed) Tila Tequila has been booted out of the UK Celebrity Big Brother house less than 24 hours after she walked in.

The reason? Sympathizing with Hitler - I kid you not.

Just a few short hours into her stay in the reality TV show house, producers discovered controversial messages and 'essays' which she had written in 2013, all of which referred to Nazism and Hitler. One blog post on her website was titled: 'Why I Sympathize With Hitler: Part 1' (yes, really).

She went on to defend her posting by saying that Hitler, the individual behind the murders of 60 million people, was "a man who was not a coward...stood up for his country in a DESPERATE TIME OF NEED".

Around the same time, Tequila took to social media to share an image of herself standing in front of the infamous Auschwitz concentration camp while wearing Nazi clothing (disgraceful human being!!)

Some might question as to why the producers of the show hadn't done a background check of some kind on Tila prior to accepting her as a house-mate, but nevertheless, the fact that they were seen to take swift action is something they should be commended for.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Channel 5 said:

"Unfortunately, Channel 5 and Endemol did not know about the views and attitudes Tila had expressed in social media postings prior to her involvement in Celebrity Big Brother.  When they were brought to our attention, she was called to the Diary Room for a discussion with producers and was subsequently removed from the house. The views Tila had expressed, and permitted to remain uncorrected, are totally unacceptable and, accordingly, her continued involvement in the programme was untenable."

What are your views on what Tila Tequila has said and done? Were Channel 5 right to axe her? Comment below and let us know!
