Employees and interested parties have allegedly been informed by NBC-Universal that the new Christian Grey will be cast within the next few weeks according to EW.
During a Wednesday company-wide, mandatory meeting, many things were discussed, but 50 Shades of Grey is what everyone was talking about. After Charlie Hunnam’s abrupt departure from the film, it’s all anyone is talking about, really; not just those involved in the project.
And while many details of the private meeting were kept hush-hush, EW was assured that the film will still be released next year, and that Dakota Johnson still remains steadfast in her choice to portray the story’s “heroine,” Anastasia Steele.
EW was also told that the main focus of the meeting was introducing the crew to Universal Pictures’ newest co-chairman, Jeff Shell.
Many rumors have been circulating as to who will fill Charlie Hunnam’s shoes in the pivotal role of Christian Grey. Names like Jamie Dornan and Alexander Skarsgård have been bandied about, but only time will tell who will actually take a turn in the red room of pain.
