Eric Christian Olsen from NCIS: LA sat down at San Diego Comic-Con to answer questions about Season 8, including details about an intense Densi story-arc. Because of co-star Daniela Ruah's pregnancy, Olsen revealed that he and Ruah have filmed an 8-episode character arc in advance, and that the storyline is so moving, they moved a sound guy to tears three times. Three times! Olsen ensures us that we're also getting the proposal we've been waiting for.
When Season 8 starts this fall, Olsen revealed that "the mole is off and running in episode one. The start department intervenes and essentially brings in a team to essentially go after everyone to take down the mole...they take over headquarters. It gets very real very quickly...the first three episodes are like a freight train and the mole is the catalyst for all of that."
But will we know what's in the box? Olsen says he doesn't know. "I am just as in the dark as everyone else is." Unlike a movie, he says, with television he doesn't know where the story is going.
"Originally," Olsen said, "this was the season in which Deeks was going to go back to the LAPD for something, but now that young Daniela Ruah is with baby, I don't know what the plan is for that."
He went on to say though that he "knows there are a lot of unresolved issues. A character killed a cop and got away with it...so we'll see what happens." But while all of the drama unfolds throughout the season, Olsen is unsure who they are going to partner with Deeks. "It's an exciting season for us. So far they've hit the ground running and we've had three really good scripts."
