Netflix has selected eight up and coming comedians to star in a new sketch comedy series titled The Characters. Each episode will be run by a different comedian with "No rules. No limits." All eight 30 minute episodes will be released March 11 on Netflix. Check out the official trailer for The Characters below.

The series will feature Lauren Lapkus, Kate Berlant, Dr. Brown, Paul W. Downs, John Early, Tim Robinson, Natasha Rothwell and Henry Zebrowski. Cecily Strong and Bobby Moynihan (SNL), Tyson Beckford, and Abbi Jacobson (Broad City) are expected to make cameo appearances. Let's take a look at the eight comedians in The Characters and where you know them from.

Lauren Lapkus has been in Orange is the New Black and Jurassic World. She also made appearances on Key and Peele, Comedy Bang! Bang!, and Kroll Show. You can watch Lauren now in her Funny or Die sketch "Makeup Tutorial: Five Minute Face" and below in Above Average's first episode of "Charles, Your Hangover".

Kate Berlant and John Early are both hosts of Funny or Die's "Yes vs. No" series. John has a YouTube channel, Bejohnce, featuring several sketches of the pair together. John Early has also appeared in Wet Home American Summer: First Day of Camp on Netflix.

Dr. Brown is actually a character played by Phil Burgers on various shows. You can get to know Dr. Brown a little bit more by watching his sketches on Channel 4's Comedy Blaps (contains a NSFW scene).

You'll find Paul W. Downs playing Trey on Broad City, as well as writing the odd episode. He has also played Zac Efron in the "Diary of Zac Efron" web series. Paul regularly performs with UCB and has various comedy sketches on YouTube including a New Girl parody and "Ghost Tits" (with Olivia Munn).

Tim Robinson is already very familiar with sketch comedy writing and performing on Saturday Night Live. Tim also performed sketches with The Second City and Above Average, see him as the coach below. Also check out his playlist of SNL sketches on YouTube (US Only).

Also coming from the SNL writing staff is Natasha Rothwell. Natasha performs regularly with UCB and is featured in their web short "Black Superheroes". Watch her below impersonating Oprah auditioning for a role.

Last but not least is Henry Zebrowski, who has appeared in Dirty Grandpa, Heroes Reborn, Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell, and The Wolf of Wall Street. Henry has also appeared in several College Humor sketches.

Now that you've met all the comedians in The Characters, whose episode are you most excited for? Let us know in the comments!
