Rake is a TV series following the misadventures of a criminal lawyer who is just as shady as the clients he defends. The show originated in 2010 in Australia with Richard Roxburgh (Moulin Rouge) in the lead role. Four years later the American counterpart has premiered on Fox, except with Greg Kinnear (Little Miss Sunshine) as the lead.
The Australian Rake just began its third season. The American Rake, however, is struggling to find viewers. Kinnear alone makes the show worth a watch, his ability to mix smugness while being endearing makes an enjoyable character.
But, if the American version isn’t to your liking, don’t fret, Netlflix has penned a deal to add the first two seasons of the Australian Rake to their streaming options. Rake will be available for viewing on March 1.
Fox’s Rake airs Thursdays at 9 PM.
