At one time or another, your cell phone has probably dropped a call or not received reception. That can be frustrating; but a start-up company wants to do something about it and it revolves around P-cell technology.
feels that the P-cell can drive right past 4G and turn into something the world hasn’t seen yet. What exactly is a P-cell, you may ask? Think of the cell phone towers that look like trees or umbrellas as an example. The closer the tower is in proximity to another tower, the weaker the strength/service is.
, on the other hand, wants to have several boxes called “P-waves” that will make service better in a much smaller area. The P-cell will gather the signal from P-waves and give each user their own “personal cell or P-cell.” This will give the user full service all the time.
A major plus for the P-cell is that it uses less power so there will be a lot less phone battery fatalities. The downside is that the P-cell isn’t expected to hit retailers until the tail-end of 2014 in San Francisco, so the initial launch will be limited.
By the looks of things, everything the P-cell has going for it is something consumers complain about with their current phone. If it gets the right backing, the P-cell would be a welcome addition for any cell phone user so almost everyone in the world likely would want one.
