@urbanbeautyxo If you've been a fan of Game of Thrones since season 1 and/or read George R.R. Martin's novels, this should come as absolutely no surprise to you: Season 4 is going to be a dark and bloody one. The newest trailer, entitled "Devil" (that's not terrifying), begins with one of Cersei Lannister's trademark dramatically morbid lines, "Your joy will turn to ashes in your mouth, and you will know the debt is paid." She's a real bundle of sunshine, that woman. Of course, we're all excited to see the fight for the Iron Throne resume on our television screens once again, but if you were reduced to sobbing and shrieking during the "Red Wedding" last season (I STILL haven't recovered), you might want to steel yourself. Martin isn't a stickler for keeping his characters alive. During an interview with Conan O'Brien last year, the host called the author a "sick bastard" for letting his readers become emotionally attached to characters, only to have them killed off. Martin found this amusing, giggling before he replied, "We've all seen the movies where the hero is in trouble -- he's surrounded by 20 people, but you know he's gonna get away 'cause he's the hero. You don't really feel any fear for him. I want my readers, and I want viewers to be afraid when my characters are in danger. I want them to be afraid to turn the next page because the next character may not survive it." Get the tissues and your favorite stuffed animal, everyone. No one is safe. Valar Morghulis. Game Of Thrones returns for a violent new season on Sunday, April 6 on HBO. [embed][/embed]
