Last night’s episode of New Girl
was definitely full of laughs. If any of you have watched Blue Mountain State
, you’ll recognize Thad Castle, who makes a guest appearance on the show.
His name might as well be Thad, because he plays the exact same character in New Girl
as he did in Blue Mountain State
Well, let me rewind a little bit. The show starts off with the boys judging women based on their breast size, and saying whether they could date them or not. Then Jess calls them out on being shallow, and upon leaving the bar and sitting with a random stranger at a nearby booth, Jess is about to be put to a test to see if she’s shallow.
The man sitting at the table is Matt, or Thad. They chat for a second and Jess gives him her phone number, but before she leaves, he told her that there’s something she needs to know about him: he has a micropenis.
When discussing her date with the boys, a deal comes about. Nick doesn’t think that Jess is capable of not being shallow in this situation, and should he win, she has to buy him a year long subscription of porn, and should she win, Nick has to donate money to a charity.
When Jess goes out with Matt, she realizes that his micropenis has nothing to do with his lack of intellectualism. Matt is a street artist, who has seven tattoos, and tipped the waiter with a sketch of a hip hop mouse. Needless to say, he’s horrible.
When Jess tries to back out of the deal, Nick says she’s being shallow.
After Jess tells Matt she doesn’t think they should go out on another date, she ends up paying for Nick’s porn subscription. While talking to the boys, she realizes that everyone just has a tick that’s weird, and she goes to apologize to Matt, who she finds out has a girlfriend.
After Matt’s fake cry about why he is the way he is, Jess declined to have sex with him and left.
During this whole fiasco, Coach and Schmidt were wondering how terrible it must be to have a micropenis, because the two of them are such fine specimens, and they couldn't understand how it would feel.
Winston and Cece then trick them into modeling, but it sort of backfires. Coach decides to back out and then finds out that Winston and Cece tricked them, but told them they need to figure something out, as to not hurt Schmidt’s feelings.
The last scene is the gang looking at a billboard in Koreatown. Winston said Schmidt is representing Korean-Jewish interrelations. Coach then asks when Schmidt will get paid for the board, saying that he should be getting $500, efficiently turning the joke around.
So what did you think of this week’s New Girl
? Have you seen Blue Mountain State
and thought Thad was hilarious this episode? Let me know! Until next week!
