Kutcher will be playing the role of Steve Jobs; it will cover his life from 1976 until 2001, when the first iPod was released.

The film’s official synopsis says that the film explores the life of Steve Jobs from the self discovery of his youth to his darkest days, his brightest triumphs and the ultimate power of his drives and his passions, and his undying will to change everything that we thought was possible.
