All this press and promotion for The Newsroom’s second season is very exciting for fans of the Aaron Sorkin show.Anxiety and enthusiasm is definitely building up for the shows anticipated sophomore season.
Most recently, a short clip of the HBO show has been released. The short clip teases the continuation of season one’s drama.The video is also a promotion for The Newsroom: A Special Report, a special which will air on HBO on June 26 at 9.15 pm ET, reports Digital Spy.
In the video, Aaron Sorkin reveals that the series will pick up one week following Will Macavoy’s (Jeff Daniels) on air comparison of the Tea Party to the American Taliban.
When the show returns for nine episodes on July 14, it will also resume the focus of Will and Mackenzie’s (Emily Mortimer) tumultuous relationship.
The show was initially going to have 10 episodes, but due to a re-write, the season will only have nine episodes.
