Is it August yet? With the series confirmed to be returning to our TV screens in just a couple of months, Whovians all over the Universe are waiting with bated breath for the twelfth incarnation of the Time Lord to come crashing into their lives. And, it looks like the eighth series, since its return to BBC One in 2005, is going to be out of this World. Literally.
photo courtesy of the BBCThese photos from May 21 show the Doctor and his companion Clara Oswald, played by Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman respectively, donning orange spacesuits previously worn by Tennant and Smith, and stepping out into what could be an alien landscape. Well, we say alien landscape. It’s actually Aberavon beach in Port Talbot, Wales.
photo courtesy of the BBCFormer Spooks star Hermione Norris was also spotted on set, wearing an alternative silver spacesuit. The BBC recently confirmed that Norris star will feature in series eight of Doctor Who in an episode that is set in Lanzarote and written by Wallander’s Peter Harness.
