In less than a week, Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be returning to ABC for its second season, and it was about time we found out a bit more about its comeback episode. The first episode of season 2 is titled "Shadows" and we now have a preview, a few stills and an actual clip from the show.

Marvel's hit television show is reportedly adding a lot of new faces to the game. In the promo for the returning episode, we get to see Henry Simmons in the role of Alphonso “Mac” Mackenzie - but you might just need to watch the clip twice to catch that. In other news, both action and drama are there for our favorite agents, in the preview seen below.

There is even more to see in the stills from "Shadows," though. Not only do we get more info regarding the plot of the season's first episode, but we also get a glimpse of Lucy Lawless playing Agent Isabelle Hartley and Nick Blood in the role of Lance Hunter. In addition to that, there's another stunning photo of Hayley Atwell as Agent Carter. The snaps are all here for your viewing pleasure.

As if those gorgeous weren't enough, iTunes made a clip from the show available for free. The Skye-centric visual brings to mind the good times we were watching the first season, but makes evident that things are different now. No spoilers here, but since the clip went online, you can choose to either watch it or not.

Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D will be returning with its second season on September 23, on ABC. For those who would like to have a clue on what they will be watching, here's the synopsis of the first episode (POTENTIAL SPOILER ALERT!):

Coulson and his team are now wanted fugitives with limited resources, but that’s not stopping them from keeping the world safe from powerful and unseen threats everywhere. However, with new members they hardly know, will S.H.I.E.L.D. ever be trusted again?
