Well DC, I’m impressed yet again. During the CW special about the

future Warner Bros. and DC film slate titled DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League, a new trailer was released for the upcoming anti-hero film Suicide Squad. After the initial trailer release nearly six months ago, little to nothing had surfaced for the film – but after watching this, most would say that the wait was well worth it. The second trailer for Suicide Squad gives a little history to the plethora of villains that make up the team of oddballs while the Queen song “Bohemian Rhapsody” plays in the background (I couldn’t ask for a better song). The footage quickly cuts to scenes of Harley Quinn, Joker, Enchantress, and the others wrecking havoc in perfect form with a “good guy” twist to remind us that this isn’t your average comic book film.

During the two minute and thirty second footage, a few noteworthy scenes include seeing Harley inside a tank of chemicals with the Joker diving in after her, a creature created by Enchantress, and very comic book inspired images of the Joker. I could spend more time breaking down every little detail of the trailer, but instead of taking away from the action packed teaser – check it out for yourself below and see what the Suicide Squad has in store for us.

The official synopsis for the Suicide Squad film describes it as, “A secret government agency recruits imprisoned supervillains to execute dangerous black ops missions in exchange for clemency.” If the film manages to resonate with viewers and box-office profits (based on fan reaction I’m sure it will do fine) it’s being stated that the cast could return for future Suicide Squad films. What are your thoughts on the new trailer and potential for Suicide Squad sequels? Let us know in the comments section!
