Earlier today Sony released six new production images for upcoming film The Amazing Spider Man 2, and they definitely raise a lot of questions!
The first two are interesting, but they don’t raise too many questions. As you can see below, they show Aleksei Sytsevich, played by Paul Giamatti, bearing a gun while driving a stolen Oscorp truck and what seems to be Electro leaning against a pole.
The next two images are more confusing, and fans are left guessing what their meaning might be, if there is any meaning to them at all. The one on top shows Dane Dehaan, who plays Harry Osborn, for some reason walking around with a camera on his shoulder, while the one below that shows Spider Man creator Stan Lee on set with sunglasses on.
The fifth image seems easier to understand, though: it shows a man with a green light on his face and the reflection of a hand on the wall in the background, which is probably something Oscorp related.
But it’s the final image that really doesn’t leave any questions. For a couple of weeks now fans have been suggesting that perhaps the entire Sinister Six might feature in the film, but with this image it seems like all doubt has been taken away. It shows a man sitting in a chair with the letters Sinister 6 above him in big red letters, making a very clear statement.
Still, it was announced that fans would get some surprises once the film is actually released, so even though they might have given away this surprise, there should be plenty left to follow!
The Amazing Spider Man 2 is expected to be released on the second of May 2014.
