NHL Player Evander Kane Pays Price For Wild NBA Weekend

Trouble continues to follow Evander Kane, hockey player for the Buffalo Sabres, as he gets benched for missing practice after partying the weekend away.

Misbehavior and trouble continues to follow Evander Kane, hockey player for the Buffalo Sabres. When he was playing with the Winnipeg Jets, he was reportedly having behavioral issues in the locker room, and when he wore a track suit to a game, he was benched.

Now with Buffalo, he has been said to be involved in a sexual assault case, and now, he is being benched yet again, but for a different reason.

According to multiple sources, Kane was at the NBA All-Star weekend in Toronto. Supposedly, on the winger’s Snapchat story, there were multiple pictures of him partying, including him driving a car at 130 miles per hour, hanging out with girls (it has since been deleted) and holding tickets for Sunday night’s All-Star game.

The 24-year-old reportedly called the Sabres and explained that he would not be at Monday’s practice after his wild weekend. According to Toronto Star‘s Bruce Arthur, he had overslept. Quickly, the team decided that he would be a healthy scratch come Tuesday, when the Sabres take on the Ottawa Senators.

Head coach Dan Bylsma spoke quickly on the issue. He explained that because Kane missed practice, he broke a rule. The franchise will be dealing with the issue internally.

As Kane continues to act outlandishly, it is questioned if the NHL is getting to his head, and what other activities he has taken part in. With the trade deadline looming, some can wonder if the team has considered dealing him, due to the way that he acts out.

It’s scary to think that he is only 24 years old, and he is having this many problems when it comes to misbehavior. If Kane is going to get back on track, such as when he was drafted fourth overall by the Atlanta Thrashers in 2009, he will have to clean up his act.
