Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” Continues To Break Records 6 Years After Release

Nicki Minaj’s music video for “Anaconda” released 6 years ago, is STILL breaking records. April 3rd, 2021, the track amassed over 1 Billion streams on the official music video.

Six years ago, Nicki Minaj released her highly-anticipated track, “Anaconda” and the music video. At the time, the video SMASHED Vevo’s 24 hour record, bringing in over 19.6 MILLION views in under 24 hours. Continuing to break records, the video brought in around 36 MILLION views within the first week.

Not slowing down there, the video also went on to win the award for “Best Hip Hop Video at the MTV Video Music Awards where Nicki Minaj also gave an epic performance of the track.

The video, now 6 years after released, has just surpassed ONE BILLION views and became the FIRST solo female rap video in history to achieve this. Nicki Minaj joins Katy Perry and Rihanna as the female artists to have the most music videos to reach over one billion views on Youtube with now 6 each.
