After a memorable week which saw President Barack Obama deliver a beautiful eulogy and lead a chorus of Amazing Grace” for the pastor and senator Rev. Cleminta Pinckney, who was shot dead along with eight others in Charleston, South Carolina on June 17th, for the first time in two years, his approval rating is on the rise.

The Supreme Court this past week also decided to uphold the government subsidies regarding Obamacare which guarantees insurance coverage for millions and presents another positive for the President.

According to a new poll50% of Americans now approve of how President Obama is handling the presidency, no doubt helped by the recent Supreme Court voting yes to the legalisation of same-sex marriage across the country.

Those who assisted in the poll have also voiced a growing positive view regarding his handling of the economic situation, with 52% approving whereas only 46% did so in May.

With Obama soon to leave the White House and with the candidacy race heating up, should he maintain his current rating, he will no doubt exit the White House with huge support from the American people, but either way, this week has proven him to be a strong leader in the face of adversity and a President to be proud of.
