Oliver Saves The Day In New Arrow Season 2 Clip

The CW hit, Arrow, captured many people’s hearts in its first season and now season 2 is only one week away. If you haven’t checked out the series, Arrow is based on DC Comics’ Green Arrow. The show focuses on the young billionaire Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and his return to Sterling City after being stranded on an island for five years. He leads two lives: a spoiled billionaire playboy by day and green-hooded vigilante by night, righting the wrongs done by his father and family. The first clip of season 2 has been released and shows viewers what Oliver is up to after what happened in the season 1 finale. In case you missed it, Oliver’s identity is at risk of being revealed and he fights for his life and the lives of his friends and family. He ends up losing his best friend Tommy (Colin Donnell) when an earthquake device goes off in an attempt by Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) to destroy the Glades. The clip shows Oliver returning to the island that made him Sterling City’s vigilante. He attempts to isolate himself from that world, but Diggle (David Ramsey), his bodyguard turned partner, and Queen Industries’ resident IT Technician, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) find him. The vigilante’s team makes their way to the island and get themselves into a little dilemma when Felicity happens to step on a landmine. Oliver then appears in the trees and saves the day. As Oliver swings in and grabs Felicity, all she can say is: “you’re really sweaty.” And Oliver asserts that the two shouldn’t have gone there. Check out the clip below! In an interview with TVLine, Rickards revealed that Felicity and Diggle are shocked that Oliver would even return to that place. “What kind of psychological state are you in that you go back to the worst time of your life where you became this killer? We end up trying to get a ‘lost ‘Oliver found,” she said. Co-creator Marc Guggenheim also revealed that season 2 will be a lot more focused on Oliver’s world and how the supporting characters will connect to it. You can also expect to see new enemies and allies, including Glee’s Grant Gustin as the Flash! Season 2 of Arrow premieres on the CW on October 9.
