Once Upon a Time has done a really good job at answering any question that arises. It might take a little while, but if the issues were solved what fun would that be?

While the show has given us so many answers, it has also brought up many more questions. In no particular order, these are but 10 questions that would be great to answer.

1. Is Rumplestiltskin the Wizard of Oz?

We know he’s the crocodile from Peter Pan and Rumplestiltskin from Rumpelstiltskin,  as well as Mr. Gold and the Dark One. But there is always room for another facet to his character.

Rumor has it that the Wizard of Oz will be appearing in the show along with Glinda, the flying monkeys, and the Wicked Witch of the West. The official poster for 3B has Rumple in Oz.

What a brilliant turn of events it would be to add such a touch to Robert Carlyle’s character.

2. Is Neal Lord?

As seen in New York City Serenade, Neal, as well as the rest of the Storybrooke inhabitants, returns to the Enchanted Forest dressed quite differently. Each costume fit the rank of the character. Charming, Snow, Regina, and Bella all looked like royalty while the dwarves, Granny, and Red wore sensible clothes of working class.

Then, there was Neal. His clothes did not fit that of a shepherd’s son. He had a brocade cape, leather jerkin, tailored breeches, and wool-silk blend scarf. Much of what he wore was enhanced with gold threads.

This outfit was fit for a royal, so what gives? Did Neal at some point slay a dragon, thus getting the honor of Lord?

3. Should there be a musical episode?

Short answer – yes! An evil sorceress could curse everyone so they have to sing whatever they say. It would be the perfect way to pay homage to Disney movies. It could also be extremely hilarious.

Besides, several of the cast members have wonderful musical abilities along with their acting chops. It’s clear that Michael Raymond-James (Neal), Colin O’Donoghue (Hook), Josh Dallas (Charming), and David Anders (Dr. Whale) all have fabulous voices; now we just need to hear the ladies show off their stuff.

4. Who is going to get married?

TPTB have said there will be a wedding in the season finale. They aren’t giving any clues about who will be marrying who.

Depending on who lives, the playing field is fair game. It could be Neal and Emma or Hook and Emma. Robin Hood and Regina could marry. Even Ariel and Phillip could tie the knot. But, when it happens it surely will be the wedding of the ages.

5. How do the Darlings get home?

When we last saw Wendy and her siblings, they were in Storybrooke. They were also planning on going home. Home would be Victorian London, England. How will they get home? There are no magic beans left. Hook’s ship can’t teleport – although that would be handy. Furthermore, wouldn’t the second curse send them back to the Enchanted Forest with everyone else?

TPTB have some explaining to do!

6. When will Mulan reveal her true feelings?

In “Quite the Common Fairy”, Mulan and Neal have a little chat about regrets and love. At one point, Neal says, “When you love someone, you don’t keep it in. You say it.” Those words prompted Mulan to make a beeline to Aurora’s palace. However, as soon as Mulan arrived, Aurora told her she was pregnant. Disheartened, Mulan leaves to join Robin Hood and his Merry Men.

Feelings eventually come out.How and when will they come out? Only time will tell!

7. How are Snow White and Aurora’s pregnancies related?

At the start of 2014, it was announced that Snow White and Prince Charming would be having a baby. Their unborn child, we found out, will be connected to Prince Phillip and Aurora’s child. How could that be? What do TPTB have planned for the Princesses and their Princes?

8. How long will Henry be on the show?

Jered Gilmore is quickly growing up. In each episode, he’s taller and his voice is changing. One of the flashbacks he was recently in was awkward because they went all the way back to season one; it didn’t quite work.

Gilmore is a teenager, and often this is the time child actors want to retire from acting so they can go to school, play sports, and be a kid – at least for a little while. If Henry was written off, it could lead to a lot of wild and interesting storylines, too.

9. Why was Neal’s apartment untouched?

Time seemed to have stood still in Neal’s apartment. There was no dust or grime. Everything was where they left it the year earlier.

How could that be? Most importantly, how did Neal keep the apartment for a year? There could have been some sort of direct deposit deal going on. But, even if that was the case, wouldn’t Neal still have to renew his contract? If he didn’t, which he couldn’t have (he’s in the Enchanted Forest after all), wouldn’t the place be leased to someone else?

10. Who is Emma’s True Love?

There are theories aplenty. All over the internet there have been heated discussions about her True Love. In fact, there is an ongoing shipping war happening.

But, it isn’t up to the fans. It’s up to the writers and creators.

Could it be Regina? That would create an unusual pairing. Was it Graham? She does still wear his shoe laces around her wrist. Is it Hook? That would also be an unusual pairing due to Hook’s history with Neal. And what about Neal and Emma being each other’s True Love? There is a lot of history between them, but there is a lot of hurt, too. Only time will tell.
