One Direction has released their fifth album, the first since Zayn Malik left the group. Honestly, this is my favorite of their albums. This is a great note to go out on before their indefinite hiatus.
Let's get to the deets though.
There literally isn't a bad song on this record. From the lead single "Drag Me Down," all the way through -- it's perfection.
Is it poppy? Hell yes it is! I'm a pop music junky, and this is the best album!
Some of my favorite tracks include: "Drag Me Down," "Never Enough," "End of the Day," "What a Feeling," "I Want to Write You a Song," "Walking in the Wind" and "Wolves."
Does it sound like the music we're used to them releasing? Yes, but better. The album has both dance tracks and slow, beautiful ballads. The band shines at both.
So, they may have done what they've done in the past but you don't fix what isn't broken.
I hate to say it, but they don't really need Zayn to succeed. Each song has it's own fun sound and most of the time you'll find yourself moving along with the music even if you're sitting down. I've listened through a few times now and this is one I'll continue to jam to for awhile. I'll over-listen to this one!
So, what's the final verdict? I give Made In The A.M. five out of five stars for being pop music magic!
One more note, you should definitely grab the Deluxe Edition because it's worth the extra few dollars.
Now stop reading and go jam to 1D! Sound off in the comments with your favorite song while I listen to "Never Enough" on repeat!
