Saturday, November 23 is an epic day for many reasons.  Not only does it mark the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, but One Direction fans will also be celebrating 1D Day with the group online.  Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson will be let loose on the internet to support their new album, Midnight Memories. YouTube and Google+ will be broadcasting a seven-hour live celebration with the band, along with some amazing guests.  Recently announced to be appearing are Robbie Williams, Simon Cowell, Celine Dion, Piers Morgan and the Muppets. One Direction began on the show The X Factor in the United Kingdom.  Transforming them from five separate solo artists to one unstoppable group shot the boys to stardom worldwide.  Their third studio album, Midnight Memories, will be released on November 25, 2013.  The second single from the upcoming album, Story of My Life, debuted at number one on the Irish Singles Chart, number four on the UK Singles Chart and number six in the United States. Robbie Williams also has a newly released album, Swings Both Ways, which has also made its mark on the UK and Irish Charts.  Released on November 18, 2013, Swings Both Ways includes songs featuring Lily Allen, Michael Buble and Kelly Clarkson.  This marks Williams’ tenth studio album. In a joint celebration, the 1D Day festivities will also be included into the Doctor Who Anniversary after party.  Airing on BBC Three, Doctor Who Live: The Afterparty will include a portion of the live 1D broadcast.
