OneRepublic have confirmed they will be playing a one-off gig at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
According to sources, the band will be playing at the iconic hall on March 27, 2014 as part of the 14th annual Teenage Cancer Trust. The concert will take place three days after the end of their seven-show UK and Ireland tour, which begins on March 16.
Patron of the Teenage Cancer Trust and The Who frontman, Roger Daltrey, was excited to announce the lead band for next year’s charity event. “It’s brilliant to be able to confirm a number one act for our shows,” he said. “OneRepublic have a lot of fans over here and I’m sure they’ll have a great time and will sound fantastic in the Royal Albert Hall,” reports CapitalFM.
The remaining acts for next year’s Teenage Cancer Trust will be announced later this year. Tickets for the event go on sale this Friday, October 25.
OneRepublic currently hold the number-one spot on the UK Singles Chart with their song “Counting Stars.”
