One Republic's frontman Ryan Tedder praised Demi Lovato's vocal range on her new single "Neon Lights", calling her "crazy talented". Tedder worked with Lovato on her recent LP and described Lovato as having one of the "biggest ranges" of any pop singer he's worked with. Speaking to London's Capital FM the singer said "She's a little pop star, isn't she? She's a crazy talented singer. […] I don't produce a lot of dance music, and so that record "Neon Lights" we did intentionally because I wanted to", he told Capital FM. "Neon Lights" is the third single off her self-titled album, which is the follow-up single to "Made in the USA", released earlier this year. "She came in and just ripped it. She, in pop music, has one of the biggest ranges, possibly the highest full voice singer I've ever worked with. She can belt full voice like three octaves above middle C, it's just crazy, practically off the piano, how high she can go. And with complete power and complete control" he explained. "At the beginning she's singing the lowest note she's ever done and by the end she's going as high as she's ever gone. It's a fun dance record". Demi Lovato will kick off her North American "Neon Lights" tour next year with Cher Lloyd, Little Mix and Fifth Harmony joining her.
