After a long trial, and almost two years since the incident that has kept the entire world on the edge of their seats, Oscar Pistorius has been sentenced
to five years behind bars for culpable homicide after he shot and killed his girlfriend Reeva Steemkamp on Valentine's Day last year.
Pistorius was also given a three year sentence for his negligent use of firearms in an unrelated event, but that sentence was suspended on grounds that he is not found guilty of crimes involving the negligent use of weapons.
It is also rumored that Pistorius will be housed at Pretoria Central Prison in a very special section that houses only one other inmate - notorious Czech mobster Radovan Krejcir. The decision to house Pistorius here was made as the section is the most guarded section outside maximum security, and he also requires disability care.
