Is there anything that Oscar-winning Jared Leto can’t do?

Despite those gorgeous blue eyes and that never aging skin of his, Leto is much more than a pretty face.  The lead singer of Thirty Seconds to Mars returned to acting after a 6-year hiatus and slam dunked it.

And now he has his sights set on directing!

Leto is no stranger to the action behind the camera.  He directed Artifact, a documentary about his band’s battle with their record label, EMI, while working on their album This is War.  Under the alias of Bartholomew Cubbins, Leto has also directed several of the band’s videos.

Leto told MTV News that he’s “certainly looking for a feature film to direct after directing Artifact and all the over videos”.

He also went on to say that he wouldn’t wait as long for another role as he did for Dallas Buyer’s Club, but if he “had to wait six years for the right project to come”, that he would.  Although, he’s also “ready to go to work tomorrow if there is the right film”.

Leto has an “Echelon” behind him so there is no doubt that they will show up in mass whenever he has a project to support.

We’re not sure when Leto will squeeze in time for another film project, but we can’t wait to see him onscreen again! And after the success of his video directing, there is no doubt that Leto will unleash a beautifully artistic point of view unto us when he does step behind the camera.

Until then, Leto can be seen with 30 Seconds to Mars, Linkin Park and AFI starting this August on the US Carnivores Tour.
