Ever had a feeling like someone's watching you? That, as you gaze out of your window or go about your daily routine, you can feel someone's eyes following your every move? Well, although it might sound a little hard to believe, a New Jersey family have been so freaked out by correspondence they've received from an individual known only as 'The Watcher', that they've high-tailed it out of their home.
After paying out $1.3 million for their six-bedroom home and moving in early June of 2014, the family have now launched a legal battle against the previous owners, citing that they "knowingly and wilfully failed to disclose" the home's history and 'The Watcher's' obsession with the property.
The letters, which became more and more sinister, told the family that the writer had, when it came to the house, been "put in charge of watching and waiting." One letter even asked, chillingly: "Have they found out what's in the walls yet?"
As of the moment, no charges have been filed regarding the case, and Westfield Mayor Andy Skibitsky told reporters that:
"Our police department conducted an exhaustive investigation based on the factual circumstances and evidence available."
The alleged stalker's identity currently remains a mystery and one that both families no doubt want solved as soon as possible.
